Currently, searching for a reliable, fun and ... to join the It's a Bree's Team with Summer Contracts for an Event Assistant and Event Set-up & Tear Down Team, to support the Event Manager completing tasks at booked weddings & events.


Event Assistant Job Description

Working with the Event Manager, the Event Assistant supports in day-of coordination at booked events. This position includes, but is not limited to, the following:

• Assist Event Manager with event logistics, operations, set-up, take-down and provide on-site support at booked weddings & events

• Greet, direct guests and respond to inquiries about various wedding & event elements

• Attend and participate in event prep meetings and rehearsals, as required

• Requires strong attention to detail, creative thinking and a passion for wedding & events and creating a high-quality guest experience

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and be must able to stand for long periods of time


Requirements

Passion for wedding & event planning with previous customer service experience is a must! Previous event planning, decorating, or merchandising experience is an asset, not required. Students welcome!

Bilingual in French and English is required.

The successful Event Assistant will be creative, work quickly and efficiently is a short time frame, strong customer service skills, and driven to deliver the best wedding or event for the client and their guests.


Event Set-up & Tear Down Team Job Description

Working with the Event Manager or Event Assistant, the Event Set-up & Tear Down Team helps set-up & tear down of elements & decor based on client requirement at booked events. This position includes, but is not limited to, the following:

• Assist Event Manager or Event Assistant with event set-up of item like chairs/tables/linen, centerpieces, candles, table numbers, place cards, any additional table decor for gift, card & favour, cake & guestbook, plus, all signage 

• Be mindful of clients & guests and always provide helpful, high-quality guest experience while on-site at event

• Attend and participate in event prep & team meetings, as scheduled

• Requires strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, working on a limited time deadlines, follow & complete assign tasks in a group or independently

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, 

Requirements

Wages & Schedule

This is a contract position, hourly position, based on booked events from May – August 2019.

This position offers a competitive wage at $20.00 per hour, with paid kilometers if more than 50kms from home address. 

Schedule will depend on current and future booked events and will update as new contracts are signed, with as much notice as possible. Hours per day can range from 4-8 hours, depending on event booking. A meal will be provided if on-site for 6 or more continuous hours. 

Transportation

A valid driver’s license and use of personal vehicle to transport yourself & possible decor/floral between events and complete event tasks is required.
